History

East Kilbride Cricket Club, formed in 1962, is an outgoing and friendly Club. The early history of the Club, has been recorded, in what is affectionately known as 'The Book'.

A version of 'The Book' edited down and dedicated to one of our former players provides an amusing look back at the early life and times of EKCC. Converted to 'PDF' format, it is available to be downloaded from here.

The Cricket Club was a founder section of what is now East Kilbride Sports Club. In addition to our cricket ground, situated in a lovely country park, there are four tennis courts and two rugby pitches.

We field two Saturday teams and also play mid-week cricket. New players are always welcome at all levels of ability and age.

Juniors

The Junior Section has its own committee. The Club has gained Bronze Award status under Cricket Scotland's 'Accreditation Scheme'. We have a pro-active youth policy, coach in local schools and run evening coaching sessions for children and young adults during the summer. In the winter we train one night a week at a local school.

We enter teams in local competitions at a number of age ranges. Check-out our

Junior Section page for details of our Junior set-up.

New young players are welcome to come and try our sport for the first time or to improve their skills with the help of our team of qualified coaches and Team Managers.
