Played at Henry Throw Oval, Prestwick, 26th May 2012 St Ninians 255 all out. Torrance House 122 all out. St Ninians win by 133 runs.

St Ninians won the toss, on a hot day, and it was no surprise when they elected to bat. The pitch was hard and dry, and the outfield looked fast. Rishuan making his 2nd X1 debut opened the bowling for Torrance House. After a nervous start, he bowled well, beating the bat on a number of occasions with no luck. Ralphs at the other bowled his 10 overs straight through, finishing with a couple of wickets for 47 runs. 13 year old Calum Edmond also making his debut bowled 6 overs for 28 runs, and is showing real promise as a bowler. This was a fine performance in his first game at this level. He bowled the majority of his overs to Stafford, the St Ninians number three who top scored with 70. Kellett after an expensive first 4 overs came back , to bowl a second spell eventually finishing with 4 for 65, as St Ninians were dismissed for 255.
It was a very chase able target on such a good batting pitch, but Torrance House capitulated from 80 for 2 to 122 all out in a disastrous 10 over spell. Skipper Meikle emerging with credit for his controlled 44. 5 wickets falling to the St Ninians skippers slow bowling. Pitch it up and bowl it straight as usual gaining good results.
All round a disappointing day ending in a convincing loss. The performance of the youngsters been the only positive.
