Langloan win by 10 wickets.

The final round of matches in the Western Cup group stage saw both teams in with a chance of qualification for the knockout stages and quarter finals. Langloan won the toss, and after all the recent rain and it was no surprise when they elected to bowl. The groundsman had worked tirelessly to ensure the pitch was playable, and it exceeded all expectations.
Gavin Meikle opened the batting with the captain Alan Meikle, and it was Alan who was first out having contributed 3 runs. Young Gavin was then joined by Alistair Dalgleish and they proceeded to take the score to 60 before they both departed in quick succession. A further wicket fell and Torrance House where reduced to 64 for 4. This brought together Steven Moug and Gareth Urquhart who held the innings together with a partnership of 68 and they took the score to 132 before Urquhart was out of the last ball of the innings for 32. Steven Moug finished unbeaten on 38.
In reply Steven Mann and David Healey opened the bowling and they went for 4 and half runs an over in their combined 13 overs. Matthew Kellett and Andrew Kampman reduced the scoring rate by going for 31 of their combined 11 overs, but it was only a temporary stop in the flow of runs as the remaining 7 overs went for 41 and the Langloan openers saw their team home with ease. No chances being offered. Securing there place in the quarter finals at the expense of the East Kilbride Club.
